Thank you so much, Video Cellar!!!

I always thought this was a unique b-movie, what with the wild-eyed Jack Elam, a cool jazz score by Ron Stein, and the suggested relationship between the two lead male characters. For the time, an unusual little film, I think. I never believed it was nearly as bad as MST3K made it out to be. Yeah, it's a sleazy, cheesy pulp story I guess, but a fairly decent one for the microscopic budget.

And it has the recently passed-on actor Del Monroe for fans of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, in his first screen appearance. We just watched a Voyage episode the other night and I told my wife I'd love to drop Del a note and thank him for his work on that TV series...and now I learn he's gone as of last Friday. A couple of friends of mine were fortunate to have met him, though.

So few of the oldsters of film and TV are still alive...
